I can't believe it's the last newsletter of 2016!  It seems like we were just writing the first newsletter of the year.  I hope that 2016 (despite any ups and downs) has been an overall good year for everyone!

This is another long newsletter and some email programs cut off the end of the newsletter.  So if you don't see the family photo at the end, you can click this link to view the whole newsletter.

Custom Lotions and Lip Balms

We're giving everyone one last opportunity to have custom lip balm flavors and custom lotion scents made for Christmas presents (for yourself or others).

They are available for one week only (December 1 - 7, 2016).  We will make the custom items on December 8th, and ship them out on December 9th, with plenty of time for them to be received before the Holidays.

All of our lotions and lip balms are available in two different formulas.  There is information about the differences in the formulas on our website.

Custom lotion scents are available in smalllargedeodorant style tubes, and tubs. There are many custom scents to choose from such as Baby Powder, Lavender Peppermint, Lilac, Mimosa Mandarin, Vanilla, and many others

Custom Lip Balms are now available in flavors such as Blueberry, Chocolate, Tea Tree, as well as blends such as Lavender Orange, Chocolate Almond, and many others.  And if you would like a blend we don't have listed, just ask.

Please remember that when you order custom lip balms and lotions, there will be a delay until your items are made and your entire order ships out on 12/9/16.

Limited Edition Soaps

This month we have Mimosa Mandarin and Almond Shampoo available as limited edition goat milk soaps.  We have decreased the price of the Pumpkin Soap (the last of the Fall Holiday scents) to $5.00 while supplies last.

Free Shipping

We are continuing to offer Free Shipping on all orders over $15.  We've heard back from many people on a tight budget that this discount has made a huge difference.

We have not yet reached a decision about what the threshold will be to receive free shipping in 2017. We will let you know in the January newsletter.

Stocking Stuffers

If you're looking to add a little something extra to your loved one's stocking, our goat milk caramels are an extremely popular option.
Our lip balms also slip into a stocking very easily, and are a fan favorite.
And hand-knit washcloths are on sale for $5 each until 12/15/16.

Hand Sanitizers and Perfume

Thank you to those who filled out our survey about the hand sanitizers, perfumes, and sugar scrub cubes. Due to your feedback, we have decided to keep all three available for now.  It quickly became obvious that while not everyone used these items, those people who do, truly love them, and would be sad to see them unavailable.

Not only did we keep them, we added custom perfumes scents and custom hand sanitizer scents as a regular option.  Custom sugar scrub scents were already (and continue to be) available.

Winter Milk

The goats are starting to slow down on their milk production and so we have limited quantities of milk in the Farm Store.  We're hoping to be able to make it through the entire winter, but as demand for our healthy milk increases, and the goats' production decreases, it's going to be close. Give us a call to see what we have.

Why less milk? We "dry our goats off" (stop milking them) for the last two months of their pregnancies so they can grow their kids.  We do stagger the breeding a little bit, but it depends on when the goats get bred (which we don't always have much control over).  The first goats are due to freshen in February, and then we'll once again have lots of milk available!

Farm Store and Sweet Shop Hours

During the majority of December, both the Farm Store and Sweet Shop are open Monday - Saturday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. Both are closed on Sundays.

We will be closing early on both Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve at 2:00 pm.

Starting the day after Christmas, we will be open Monday - Saturday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Christmas Shipping

We know that many of you like to use our soaps and stuff for Christmas Gifts or Stocking Stuffers.  As always, we will be shipping out your orders as fast as you can place them.

We recommend that you get your orders in by midnight on Tuesday 12/20/16.  We will guarantee to ship those orders out on Wednesday and if the post office does its part, they will arrive on or before Christmas Eve.

Please remember that we will ship your order on time, but we can't control the package once it leaves our hands.

We hope that everyone has a Wonderful Christmas, and a Happy New Year!

Natural Deodorants

The demand for our natural deodorants has been much greater than we expected, and so we'd like to make them available in some additional scents.

Now we need your help to decide which scents to add. We have several options, so click on this link to submit your ideas and vote for your favorite.

The Goat Milk Stuff Banner: 2nd Edition

The Banner is our catalog which describes Goat Milk Stuff, the family, the goats, our products, and why & how we do what we do.  This month we updated it and printed the second edition.

The family picture has been updated, the cover got a new baby goat, and now it has information on all of our yummy food products, which were only a dream when we printed the first edition.

You can order a copy online and if you're gifting Goat Milk Stuff as Christmas presents, you can request some extra copies to include with your gifts.

Newsletter Special

We'd like to make your Holiday gift giving a little bit easier this year, so this month's newsletter special is Twin Packs at a 50% discount.  The twin packs inclue a bar of goat milk soap and a small lotion stick in the matching scent.  They are available in Almond, Black Raspberry, Lavender, Oatmeal Milk & Honey, Pink Sugary, and Unscented.

To get them at the newsletter special price of half-off, you must order them from this link only.  There is a limit of 10 per person at this special price.

Homestead Happenings

I don't know what the weather has been like by you, but we had the most beautiful November weather.  It was warm and sunny, and perfect for getting all the Fall farm chores done.

Greyden did an incredible job working in the orchard.  He replaced about 12 trees that had died.  He added apple, plum, and peach trees.

And then he mulched, and mulched, and mulched!  We have many truck loads of mulch for him to spread.

He started by doing rows along the fruit trees.  But he also filled in all the blackberries and a new blueberry area.

We also grew a lot of food in the greenhouse (not that we needed the greenhouse it was so warm!)

And of course, it was beautiful weather for chopping wood.  We supplement our heating with wood and that means lots of chopping and splitting.  For those of you who aren't familiar with chopping wood, Colter put several wedges in this large stump and is hammering in the wedges to force it to split. (That's why he is using the flat end).

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with our family (sorry, I didn't get any photos - I was too busy cooking, cleaning, and napping!)

The goats are also enjoying this beautiful weather.  They're starting to look pregnant and they told Greyden that they are ready for the colder weather to arrive.

The Jonases stay home for Christmas by ourselves.  It's a day where we do no chores (except taking care of the animals).  We simply rest, play, eat, and enjoy each other or solitude.  Some prefer the company of their siblings and some prefer to do their own thing.  I cook the day before, so all we have to do is heat things up.

We do very little gift giving to each other at Christmas, but instead focus on events throughout the month that we can do as a family.  A few years ago we put together a video about what we do.
How To Celebrate Christmas the Jonas Way
How the Jonases celebrate the Christmas season.
We wish everyone a wonderful Christmas season full of Joy and Blessings from God as we celebrate the birth of His Son.

As always, we thank you so much for all of your support of our family and our business!

The Jonas Family
